ABOUT JULIA

Julia Correia was born in Iowa City, Iowa. Both of her parents are Brazilian immigrants. She has spent a lot of time in Brazil and is inspired by its natural landscape. She considers Brazil to be her second home. She is currently a full-time student at the University of Iowa. Her primary major is 3D Design (BFA), and her secondary major is Violin Performance (BA). She discovered her interest in design through her mother. She grew up helping her mom sand pieces and come up with color schemes for future projects. She has always loved being part of the process and hopes to make work as beautiful as her mother's. Julia is heavily inspired by organic forms and has always been fascinated by nature, especially flowers and natural water formations. Julia’s process typically involves her studying nature and examining how plants, landscapes, and water formations interact with each other.
